Margaret's Cupboard was started in Denver, Colorado in 1988 as a dealer in antiques and collectibles specializing in glassware and animals. Marketing was done through regional antique and collectable shows and malls in the Denver area and surrounding states.

In 1994 a small 800 square foot shop was opened in Buckingham Square Mall in Aurora, Colorado. Health and mobility problems prevented the traveling necessary to do the show circuit any longer and finding merchandise was a major obstacle so a transition was made to more current collectibles.

In 1999 it became obvious the small shop was inadequate and we moved into an 1800 sq. ft. shop across the hall. This allowed us to expand our selection and better showcase our offering.

In 2003 an opportunity came up to move a larger space in a much more upscale mall - Tamarac Square Mall in Southeast Denver. We now have over 2000 sq. ft. of retail space in a lovely environment and continue to provide the same personal service to our many customers.

The business philosophy of Margaret's Cupboard is quit simple and has proven quite effective thus far (We're still here):

• In committing to carry a line of product, we are committed to providing the customer a broad representation of that line by stocking most or all the line has to offer and maintaining the line.
• Prices are maintained at a comparable level to other similar stores and are fair to the customer and to us. It is our firm belief that stores that have "sales" continuously have obviously overpriced their product to begin with so why shop there. Margaret's Cupboard does not normally have "sales" except on discontinued lines. We are not a discount store.
• Our store is pleasant and attractive, not "Flashy". Flashy is very expensive and must be paid for by the customer.
• We provide friendly, personal and knowledgeable service to assist our customers with their purchases.
• We keep all the original boxes for our product. Product is inspected by us upon receipt and again when sold. You will never get unopened boxes at Margaret's because we cannot ensure the integrity of the product.
• We offer shipping service for our customers at our cost. Our preferred mode of shipping is the USPS Priority mail service. We recommend insurance.

We want to encourage you to come to shop and see how we operate. We love to talk to our customers and cultivate mutual confidence with them. Can't do that on a computer. Our selection in the lines we carry is superb. We do offer secure shopping on our site for selected products using Pay Pal as our transaction processor. All order fulfilment is done by us to ensure prompt personal attention.
